Privacy summary: HamLink collects only the data required to provide the app and verify optional PRO/ADVANCED licenses. HamLink does not record voice communications and does not use advertising or tracking identifiers.
1. About HamLink
HamLink is a client application for SVXLink-compatible reflectors. Reflectors are independently operated. Their operators determine access requirements and are responsible for their own privacy practices.
2. Information used for license verification
When you choose to activate or revalidate an optional PRO or ADVANCED license, HamLink sends the following data to the HamLink license-verification service over HTTPS:

This processing is optional: the free version can be used without activating a PRO or ADVANCED license. The license-verification data is not used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or marketing.
3. SVXLink connections and audio
When you connect to a reflector, HamLink sends the connection details and protocol data necessary for that connection directly to the reflector you configure. This may include your callsign, connection metadata, IP address, authentication information, and real-time audio packets.
Voice audio is captured only while you transmit using Push-to-Talk. HamLink encodes and transmits the audio in real time; it does not record or store your voice communications.
SVXLink protocol notice: HamLink connects only to SVXLink-compatible reflectors. It does not connect directly to BrandMeister DMR, TETRA, or other radio-mode backends. Those networks require an SVXLink bridge operated by the relevant network or reflector administrators.
4. Local data on your device
HamLink stores connection profiles, callsigns, reflector addresses, application settings, and license activation status locally in the app's private storage. This data is used to provide the application and is not uploaded to HamLink unless you activate or revalidate a license as described above.
5. What HamLink does not collect
- No advertising ID or advertising profile.
- No location data for tracking.
- No contacts, messages, photos, or files.
- No recording or storage of voice communications by HamLink.
- No sale of personal data.
6. Data sharing
HamLink does not sell personal data or share it with advertisers. License-verification data is processed only to operate the HamLink license-verification service. Data required for radio communication is sent to the SVXLink reflector selected by you; please review that reflector operator's policies.
7. Your choices and rights
You can use the free tier without license activation. You may deactivate a license or remove a device through the app where available. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of license-verification data, contact us using the address below. Some transaction records may need to be retained where required by law.
